Project Brief

Organizing an international event that brings together civil society, engineers, activists, lawyers, tech companies and governments on the subject of internet and human rights.

RightsCon is an international event bringing together civil society, engineers, activists, lawyers, tech companies and governments on the subject of internet and human rights. This is a 2-day event that took place in Manila 24-25 March, 2015.

This event will be jointly hosted by Access, EngageMedia and local partner Foundation for Media Alternatives. With the experience of Access who will be hosting this event for the fourth time, the regional network and experience of EngageMedia, the deep local knowledge and work of Foundation for Media Alternatives, and a regional board of advisors whose work and experience spans the thematic areas of this event, RAD is working to produce the event and to manage the development of a participatory-program building process that centers Southeast Asia-regional internet rights issues.
